Dementia Histories

To find ways to enhance my mother's wellbeing and reignite her memory we produced a book together. Both my mother and grandmother were prolific writers, especially poetry. Together we re-read the poetry, remembered the lines and were delighted to see again the illustrations my mum had done to go alongside them. The engagement for both of us in this activity awoke connections and happy memories that had been clouded by dementia.
